Quest for Creativity 3

OH MAH GAWD ART EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA.

OK! Here's the deal. Upon looking at my artwork I've noticed that aside from the usual commissions I do, my art is mostly focused on the only character I ever draw anymore; Brook. While I'm in love with her and her design, I've felt that my art is becoming boring and monotonous since I don't seem to be drawing much else. So, I challenged myself with this self project titled The Quest for Creativity. As cheesy as the title sounds, I really enjoyed this. The goal was to design 5 brand new characters with new features, personalities and colors. Overall I really enjoyed it and I realized just how hard it can be to create something new out of the blue (especially when you haven't for a while). I ended up liking this project so much I made 6 characters and colored all of these in about 2 days. XD They are all anthro because I just felt you can have sooo much more creativity with them, rather than humans. So DEAL with it. XD They're all female and for added fun (and a way to show off they're markings better) they're all in swimsuits. : D *gigglesnort* I looked at alottttt of art on the internet to help inspire me. I tried differen't styles of hair, eyes, markings, everything and it felt so nice to come up with something fresh. The sketches are straight from my sketch book with notes and side doodles along with a colored version. So, in short, silly project, stupid name, fun results. XD All of these ladies are new, fresh and totally single. XD

So without further ado, first up is:

Neptune - I liked "Nikki" at first but then suddenly Neptune popped in my head and just STUCK. I have no explanation other than I instantly loved it. XD

Description: I really like the design and story for this one. In the land of the dead and demons, there are the minions that are in between. When she was alive, Neptune was not a very nice girl so her actions ofcourse sent her to the underworld. From there all the dead become these fairly weak little minions. This is what she is. A minion has to work and do many evil deeds to finally become a very powerful, full fledged demon. Neptune, however, chose not to pursue this goal and has remained a mere minion. While her powers are miniscule compared to the demons, they are still powerful and dangerous by mortal standards. I had titled her "The Mischief Maker" since that's what she usually lives for. She despises rules and lives by her own and floats across the world making small pranks and such. Since these pranks are still evil deeds these would earn her merit towards becoming a demon but she has also been known to do some good deeds which has voided her evil deeds. She can enter dreams and manipulate them, but this is rare since it requires alot of effort. I would consider her the "adolescent" of my characters since her actions are generally wild and untamed like a teenager. She's also the first character that I've given a piercing in her lip, which she always has in. The tip of her tail folds back in two points like that of a devil's tail, with the red line going down giving it that appearance. She's usually seen hovering and rarely walks on her feet. BLA BLA BLA.
